Annual Competitions

Club Championships

This is a 3 round stroke event divided in two categories: (a.) "Open" - Gross Score and (b.) "Graded" - Nett Score.

Players are divided into A, B, and C grades. Grading is done according to handicaps prior to the first round and although their handicap may change over the following outings, their grade remains the same. The splits in the grades are at the discretion of the committee and are determined so that there are similar numbers of players in each group.

The lowest nett total over these three outings decide the winners.

Junior Champion

Awarded to the junior with the best nett average of their best 3 rounds for the year.

Putting Championhip

Held in conjunction with the Club Championships and awarded to the player with the least number of putts totalled from the last three stroke rounds of the year.

Presidents Cup

This is a designated 3 round Stableford event. Winner is the one with the highest total number of points from the 3 rounds.

Captains Trophy

A match play event where the top eight finishers in the qualifying round play off over the following 3 months to finally end up in the final being played in the presence of the club captain. Both the winner and the runner up receive trophies.

Dave Mott Award

Awarded to the most consitent player during the year.This is calculated on being awarded points based on attendance and, similar to F1 racing, where the top ten finishers get additional points.

Danny Healey Memorial Trophy

In memory of one of our founding members who served the club and committee for many years.

Originally for the winner of the club's annual week-end get-away.

Revised in 2011 to the "Seniors Comp' for the over 55's - Lowest handicap differential of the players Best 5 Club Rounds during the year.

Eligibility being the member must have already turned 55 by 1st January.

Ron Johnson Memorial Trophy

Awarded to the winners of the January outing each year. (usually a 4 ball comp)

Life Members Award

Awarded to the winner of the February outing each year.

Fred Colley Memorial Trophy

Awarded to the winner of the March outing each year.

Colin Pinsent Cup

Awarded to the winner of the April outing each year.
